USA Now Has Over 54 Million People Without Health Insurance

In a troubling new trend, the Kaiser Family Foundation revealed that the number of Americans without any health insurance is now over 54 million people. The number of Americans without any healthcare coverage increased by 4 million in 2009, which leaves almost one-fifth of non-elderly Americans without insurance. Younger Americans seem to be bearing the brunt of not having health coverage, between people 19 to 29, nearly one-third lack healthcare coverage.
