US Continues to Promote Genetically Modified Food

Secret United States documents released by Wikileaks contains detailed efforts by the U.S. To promote genetically modified (GM) crops around the world. US diplomats have even gone as far as pushing the Roman Catholic Church to support their expanding GM food crops to developing nations.

Other released cables from European Union countries shows the detailed efforts that U.S. diplomats have put into place, and it appears U.S. officials have made up their mind on GM crops. In a 2005 meetings, a U.S. diplomat and USAID officials met with Catholic leaders to discuss GM foods, according to the leaked cable.
