Is It Time to End the Insurance Gap for People With Preexisting Conditions?

There are over 12 million American who have some sort of preexisting health care issue who have been flatly turned down by insurance companies over the past few years. Of course the good news for patients and prescription online services, is that recent health care reform laws like the Preexisting Condition Insurance Plan will eliminate discrimination on preexisting conditions.

But there is some bad news: patients will have to put their medical problems on hold for about 6 months while the program kicks in. Online prescription services are available for patients during this 6 month window, so take advantage of an online doctor during this time.

Because there are over 50 million Americans who have preexisting conditions, the health care bill set up a pool in every state for people who are high-risk or have been turned down for health insurance. This pool will allow those who have been turned down to buy insurance at a reasonable price. Online prescriptions will help these people during the six month window but after that they will have full coverage health care. Doctors online believe that these people deserve coverage that is just as good as other patients in America. We cannot sit by and watch as our mothers, fathers and grandparents suffer at the hands of the medical industry.

Of course there are political fights over this motion and some people think that it is a work around to create a public option. Doctors online and online prescription services don't mind this, if everyone had health care the medical profession would do better if every patient could afford to pay.

States have the option of creating the pool themselves or they can let the government set it up. Federal health care inspectors were pleased that they were able to set up the pool in six months, especially when dealing with the amount of people involved. Most of the people that will be in these pools are elderly patients, who need treatment for ongoing conditions. Yet as of a few months ago, there were as little as 8,000 patients signed up for the pools.

There lies the problem, you can not be accepted into the program unless you have been without health care for six months. Having patients off health care for 6 months is not something doctors online are eager to do. Patients who use prescription online services have a great need for medication, and this is a real problem for patients in need. Sure the cost for prescription online services are cheaper than traditional pharmacies, but medication can still add up and many of these patients do not have excess funds to buy them.

Of course this loop hole happened during the fighting and debating about health care reforms. Hopefully, they will close this provision and allow patients the treatment they need. Online prescription services can help, so if you are one of these people, you should consider trying an online prescription service until your six month window is passed.
