  1. 40% of teen girls who had their first sexual experience at age 13 or 14 have reported that it was either forced, non-voluntary or unwanted.
  2. By 15 years about 20% of teens have had sexual intercourse.
  3. By the time a teenager has reached 19 years old  7 out of 10 teens have had sexual intercourse at least once.
  4. Nearly a third of all teen pregnancies end up in abortion.
  5. The highest rate of teen pregnancy is in the United States at an annual cost of 7 billion dollars.
  6. Of the 18.9 million new cases of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD's) 48% or 9.1 million occur among 15-24 year olds.
  7. The chances of the son of a teenage mother ending up in prison is 13% more likely or their teenage daughter becoming pregnant is 22% more likely than normal.
