Tinea versicolor – Also referred to as pityriasis versicolor, this skin infection is caused by a fungus that interferes with the pigmentation of the skin. The fungus causes the skin to become discolored in small patches.
Impetigo – Perhaps one of the most common skin infections, impetigo is a bacterial infection that results in itchy, contagious blisters that burst and crust over.
